Another consideration when tightening Jam Nuts is the thread strength. This is extremely important in the various types of aluminium and composite connectors. A unique process was developed to mould the composite material which this socket is manufactured using. The material contains a higher percentage of fibre glass than is used in most conventional moulding technology to ensure the sockets are as light and as strong as possible. The material will not scratch plating, or damage the finish on cabinets, panels or bulkheads when properly used, with square hold drive for torquing.
